Personally i have tried many snares. As far as wood goes the reference 20 ply is one of the best sounding ones I have tried. Awesome snare and high quality
This is also the original reference. Many consider these a lot better than the newer "pure" ones with thinner shells. Just my opinion. so amazing drum!!
